MidlothianShopping.com was developed and designed to help promote our local area businesses on a real-time basis offers the latest shopping information from area businesses on local deals, steal and special sales. Plus from time to time we will feature interesting articles on many of our local businesses and business people as well as some on the interesting characters that live in our community.

The Classified Section -  One of the nice features is the local online classified section.  One of the problems with National Classified sites, like Craig's List and others, is the number of dishonest people and predators  who seem to fish these sites for unsuspecting victims! Company History - InTech Publishing was first established in 1995 by Charles Flowers and started out as an online eBook publishing company and web design company. This was around the time that Amazon.com started.  We spoke with the founder and owner on many occasions as both of our companies were in the book business and marketing strategies were discussed.  Amazon was in the mail order hardbound and we developing the eBook. But in 1995 the eBook concept was a little ahead of its time, as eBooks did not come in to their own until around 2004-2005 with the introduction of the Kindle and Nook eBook Readers. And important addition to this eBook reader line up, is the introduction of the Apple IPad. The IPad is going to change the eBook game quite a bit as it will enable website published books to be view and read without having to have proprietary device like the Kindle. The proprietary devices require you to buy the eBooks from them in order for you to read them on their device.

In 2000, we started developing Community sites to help promote businesses in those areas. In 2000 there was not one website site promoting anything on the historic downtown square of Waxahachie.  WaxahachieDowtown.com was the first website for this area and today is in the top 5 sites listed in all the major search engines for anything in Waxahachie. The site receives over 165,000 visitors annually!

In 2007 InTech Publishing conceived designed and developed the first online eMagazine in Ellis County which was the Waxahachie Journal.  This was a completely digital publication with integrated graphics and video and which today enjoys a regular readership numbering in the tens of thousands from all across the US and foreign 46 countries.
