For the last 30 days or so we have been buying watermelons from the Midlothian Walmart. These are the seedless variety and they are very sweet and delicious. At the moment they are on sale for $4.48.
Another variety we have tried is the yellow meat. These are actually 
sweeter than the red seedless but are smaller and cost $2.00 more.
After walking around the Midlothian Walmart, and seeing all the Price Rollback signs, it looks like there are some great bargains for the month of July.

I saw a pickup with a load of good looking watermelons parked on the side of highway 77 in Waxahachie this past weekend. Sometimes you can get great bargains on really delicious melons. Most times the vendor will cut open a melon for you to taste.
